Our Team

My name is Jocelyn Adoboe and I am the Vice Principal in charge of Academics. I am from Mampong, Akuapem, and I have worked at New Horizon for 29 years.

What I love about my job here is witnessing the students achieve milestones. I also love the affectionate and sincere nature of our students. My hobbies are listening to music and playing badminton.

My name is Mariama Obeng and I am the Vice Principal in charge of Vocations. I am also the Batik & Tie Dye instructor at the workshop.

I am a Ga, I love cooking and did my first degree in home economics. I have been at the school for 36 years, and I find immense satisfaction here because I have so much love and affection for children and for our students.

My name is Vida Sandra Quaye and I am the Workshop Coordinator. In this role I supervise the production of craft items at the workshop, manage the school shop, and oversee the welfare of the students.

I come from Labadi, in the Greater Accra Region, and I love singing. I  have worked at the school for about 40 years. Working with the students gives me so much joy – they are what I love most about working here.

My name is Emmanuel Clottey. I am the Accounts Officer hailing from Asere-Joshie in Accra.

My hobbies are reading, watching news and football. I have been working at the school since August of 2022, and I really enjoy learning more about the students and their individual needs.

My name is Slyvia Quaye and I am the school Physiotherapist. I come from Osu in Accra, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.

I joined the New Horizon in February 2023. My hobbies are reading and trivia. I love being a part of this school because of the team spirit that we have here.

I am Marian Owusu, the Daffodil Class Teacher. I am from Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo Region. I have worked at the school for 22 years.

My hobbies are singing and playing with children. I love what I do with the students because I get to train them and bring out their potential.

My name is Hannah Nyarko and I am the Tulip Class Teacher. I am from Ada in the Greater Accra Region, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in basic education.

I have worked at the school for 27 years. Travelling is my hobby. My greatest joy in working here is seeing the students excel and adapt to the skills and training we give them.

My name is Beatrice Tacy Hammond and I am the teacher in charge of the Lilac Class.

I am from Elmina In The Central Region, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree In Psychology, and I have been working at the school since January 2023. My hobbies are reading, dancing, and cooking. I love the way my students are affectionate and well-behaved.

My name is Leonora Bright and I am the Sunflower Class Teacher. I am from Angloga in the Volta region, and I hold a Diploma in Education.

My main hobby is cooking. I  have been with the school for 11 years and I love my job here because it’s so fulfilling.

I am Doris Agyei Adu and I teach the Lavender Class. I am from Pramkese in the Eastern Region. I hold a B.Ed in Early Childhood Education & an M.Phil in Special Education. I am also a registered behavior technician.

My hobby is reading children’s literature. I  love how the staff and students sing and dance together every morning during assembly. I also love how spacious the classrooms are and the multiple resources that meet the needs of each child.

My name is Amina Salifu Mohammed and I support the Lavender Class.

I am from Burkina Faso and I am certified in Nursery Education. I love the family spirit at the school.

I am Vida Lartey and I support the Lilac Class. I am from Hohoe in the Volta Region and I hold a certification in Early Childhood Education.

I have been at the school for 9 years, and I love dancing. I find great fulfilment in the support I get to give the students each day. 

My name is Theodora Tetteh and I support the Daffodil Class.

I am a Ga from La in Accra and I have worked at the school for 11 years. I love working with my students.

My name is Bernice Naa Dei  Nikoi and I support the Tulip Class.

I am from La in the Greater Accra Region. My hobby is dancing. I have worked at the school for 9 years and I really love the students.

My name is Richlove Avor and I support the Sunflower Class.  I come from Agave in the Volta Region and I hold a diploma in Basic Education. My hobbies are listening to music and dancing.

I  have worked at the school since January 2023. I really  love the cooperation and the sense of unity that exists between the students and staff.

I’m Issah Attuquaye Ahmed, school gardener and caretaker. I have been here for five years and I come from Abenase in the Greater Accra Region.

My hobby is playing football. I love that I get to create a clean environment for the students to engage in playing and learning outdoors.

My name is Comfort Nassah and I am the school cleaner. I have been here for about 5 years, and I come from Wa in the Upper West Region.

I listen to music in my free time. I love working here because even on my bad days,being around the cheerful nature of the students makes me happy.

I am Victoria Akuyisi, the Seamstress at New Horizon where I’ve worked since 2003.

I come from Brusa South in the Upper East Region. I love singing, and I love that I can be creative when working here.

My name is Alia Sfarijlani and I am the Beading Instructor. I am a Ga, and I hold a professional certificate In Montessori Training.

My hobby is cooking. I love that I get to see my students display and develop their amazing skills.

I am Musah Quaye and I teach Batik & Tye Die and Door Mat Weaving. I am from Abeanase.

My hobbies are reading and exploring ways to help others. I have been at the school for 8 years, and I love giving back to society and getting to know the students.
